During
the visit with Ms. Beth Smith’s Second Grade Class, we read
Chris Van Allsburg’s Jumanji and Zathara.
The readings were followed by and question and answer period with
the students based on Aidan Chambers’ work, Tell Me: Children,
Reading, and Talk. Additionally, the presenters incorporated
a double bubble map in order for the students to juxtapose the two
stories.
