Ethel K. Smith Library
Navigation Header
Most of the database titles are black (no blue hyperlink) such as Academic OneFile in the screen at right. You will need to select either the blue On Campus or Off Campus hyperlink to access the database.

On Campus is for computer or laptop use in the library and academic buildings. Off Campus is for computer or laptop use in the residence halls and all other locations.

If you are on campus, clicking the blue On Campus hyperlink will allow you to enter the database.
  On or Off Campus Selection
If you are off campus (i.e, residence halls and other locations), clicking the blue Off Campus hyperlink will take you to the login screen at right. Enter your Wingate Campus Network username and password (same as you use in the Library or Bridges Lab), click the Login button, and you will be able to enter the database.
Off-Campus Log-in Screen
If you need to access NCLive directly from off campus, a log-on screen, such as the one on the right, will appear. Select “Wingate University” from the drop-down menu and enter Wingate University’s NCLive@Home password.

If you need the NC Live password, please see a Library staff member or call the Reference Desk at 704-233-8097.
NCLive@Home Log-in
Some of the database titles, such as PsycArticles, have blue hyperlinks and require their own special log-on. To access these databases, click on the blue Title hyperlink and you will be taken to the screen at right. You will need the authorization code and password to enter the database regardless of whether you are on campus or off campus (see next step below).
OCLC Log-in Screen
To get the authorization code and password, click on the blue Password hyperlink and enter your username (PHARM\username for Pharmacy and PA students, ACAD\username for everyone else) and Campus Network Password when prompted. So, if you are an undergraduate with the username stu, you would enter ACAD\stu. The server will then return the authorization code and password you will need in order to enter the database.

For password troubleshooting, click on the blue Hints hyperlink.
