Anyone may use use it, although preference is given to Wingate University
students.
- Q2.
Who will handle my question?
- A. One
of the Reference Librarians on duty.
- Q3.
What sort of questions may I ask?
- A.
The Librarians will answer two types of questions. One would be brief factual
questions (for instance, "What is the capital of Costa Rica.") or
will provide assistance in guiding you to proper sources for research projects.
- Q4.
When you assist in research projects, does that include providing articles
or bibliographies?
- A.
No. Your professors expect you to be responsible for your own
research. We will, however, attempt to point you to the appropriate research
tools (for instance ERIC on NC-LIVE for something in graduate education).
- Q5.
How soon will it be before you answer my question?
- A.
Our aim is to answer your question by the next business day. So, questions
submitted between Friday and Sunday should be answered by Monday. In some
cases we may not be able to answer your question based on the information
you have given us. In such cases, we will return respond asking you to drop
by the Reference Desk for further consultation.
