Periodicals by Title Maintenance

Database MaintenanceEBSCO will be performing scheduled maintenance between Friday, February 22nd at 11:00 p.m. and Saturday, February 23rd at 3:00 a.m. on its e-journal full-text access servers.

Direct access to articles from EBSCO’s linking services will be unavailable for the following list of publishers:

  • National League for Nursing
  • American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP)
  • Intellect Ltd
  • Massachusetts Institute of Technology Press (MIT Press)
  • College of Business and Public Affairs
  • e-Med
  • IUPAC
  • NRC Research Press

 

Only articles from these eight publishers accessed via Periodicals by Title will be affected. These publishers account for only 80 of  EBSCO’s more than 15,000 journals handled by it’s linking services, so the overall impact  should be minimal. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.


Visual Literacy: Seeing the Big Picture

In today’s highly visual culture, “information literacy” no longer simply refers to text-based information. Students are now presented with a wealth of visual material that can be used to enhance — not merely supplement — scholarly work. In this session, learn how to help students locate, evaluate, and incorporate credible visual resources into reports, presentations, and other assignments. Tips for citing visual resources will also be discussed.
