Congratulations to Megan Gaffigan, this month’s Ethel K. Smith  Library Featured Student Assistant. Megan is a sophomore majoring in Nursing, and this is her second year working at the library. She has a great rapport with both staff and patrons.  Megan stays busy on campus with ΑΧΔ (Alpha Xi Delta) and the nursing club. Originally from Marion, NC, Megan loves to read. After graduation, she plans to be a pediatric nurse.

Congratulations to Jalleah Chapman, Ethel K. Smith Library Featured Student Assistant. Jalleah is a sophomore majoring in Pre-Nursing, and this is her second year working at the library. She has a great rapport with both staff and patrons.  Originally from Pilot Mountain, NC, Jalleah enjoys talking and organizing things. After graduation, she plans to go to graduate school for nursing and become a CRNA.

  • Activities:  SNCAE Secretary and Phi Eta Sigma Treasurer

Congratulations to Katharine Ross, this month’s EKS Library Featured Student Assistant. Katharine is a junior majoring in Elementary Education, and this is her first year working at the library. She has a great rapport with both staff and patrons.  Katharine stays busy on campus as the Secretary of SNCAE and Treasurer of Phi Eta Sigma.

Originally from Stanfield, NC, Katharine enjoys reading a good novel, laying in her Eno on sunny days, and baking. After graduation, she plans to travel a little before settling down and teaching little minds. o graduate school to study vocal performance and stage direction.

Congratulations to Caleb Skinner, EKS Library Featured Student  Assistant. Caleb is a Junior majoring in Music, minoring in English, and this is his third year working at the library. He helps with many special projects at the Library, and has a great rapport with both staff and patrons. Caleb stays busy on and off campus with opera, choirs, and tutoring. He is has a choir internship at Wingate Baptist Church.

Originally from Wilson, NC, Caleb enjoys trying new coffee shops, classic movies, cats, and researching opera, operetta and musical theater.

After graduation, he plans to go to graduate school to study vocal performance and stage direction.

Congratulations to Kristen Earwood, the Ethel K. Smith’s Library Featured Student  Assistant. Kristen is a senior majoring in Biology, and this is her fourth year working at the library. She helps with many special projects at the Library, and has a great rapport with both staff and patrons. Kristen stays busy on campus as the Panhellenic President, a member of Alpha Xi Delta, a Genetics Lab Assistant, and a Student Involvement Assistant. Originally from Valdese, NC, Kristen enjoys hiking, painting, and cooking. After graduation, she plans to go to graduate school to become a Physician’s Assistant.

Preston is a freshman who is currently undecided of his major. This is Preston’s first year working at the library, and has a great camaraderie with both staff and patrons. Preston stays busy on campus with the campus band. Originally from Unionville, NC, Preston enjoys fishing as well as hanging out with family and friends.
