Friends of the Library (FOL) Faculty Award
As outlined in the Friends of the Library Board ByLaws: The Faculty Award is presented to an outstanding member of the faculty who is supportive of the Library, encourages his/her students to take advantage of the Library’s resources, and pursues independent research via the facility. The recipient is awarded $500 ($400 to be spent on behalf of his/her department and $100 to make purchases for his/her personal library).
Dr. Nancy Bush (Assistant Professor of Marketing) was presented with the 2009 FOL Faculty Award at the FOL Spring Author’s Luncheon in March 2009. Dr. Bush has been praised by the Library staff for her familiarity with Library resources in her discipline, the way she encourages student use of materials through concrete examples and directed learning and for promoting library resources to students and colleagues through recommendations following personal examination of new items in her Marketing newsletter.
