Student Assistant Spotlight: Julie Worthington & Rachel Galyon

November 11th, 2004 by Alison Simpson in Student Assistants

In this month’s Student Assistant Spotlight are two of our seniors, Rachel Galyon and Julie Worthington. Both of them are Athletic Training Majors and are just as devoted to their job at the library as they are to the Wingate University Athletic Department.

Julie WorthingtonJulie is from Alexander, NY. She is working with the Men’s Basketball team this Spring semester and is looking forward to the upcoming season. She has enjoyed her 4 years at Wingate University and upon graduation plans to attend massage school or work toward her certification in Athletic Training. Her favorite part of working at the library is hanging out with the cool staff and other assistants.

Rachel GalyonRachel is from the small town of Sweetwater, TN. She was assigned the Football team this semester and was very excited to be a part of their great season. She plans to attend the University of TN at Chattanooga to get her master’s degree in Health and Human performance with an advanced athletic training concentration. She will also be thrown head first into planning her wedding. Rachel was engaged as of October 22nd to her fiancé Jason, from Chickamauga, GA. Rachel is very anxious to graduate, but she has enjoyed her time at Wingate and agrees with the library assistant t-shirt “This IS the best job I have ever had.”
