The Friends of the Library Faculty Award is presented to a full-time Wingate University faculty member who is selected by the Ethel K. Smith Library staff. The criteria for nomination includes that the faculty member is an avid user of the Wingate University Library, encourages his/her students to make strong use of the Library’s resources through his/her syllabus, assignments, and bibliographic instruction requests, and makes allocation requests that develop the curricular strength of circulating collections.

Winners of the award receive a total of $500 from the FOL. $400 of the total is used for the winner to purchase resources in his/her academic area for the EKS Library collections. The recipient is allowed to take $100 of the winnings in order purchase materials for his/her own personal library.
