Technology Upgrade: Bibliographic Instruction Tools

August 13th, 2007 by Amee Odom in Bibliographic Instruction

Recently, the Ethel K. Smith Library was able to upgrade the tools the Librarians and Faculty employ when teaching Bibliographic Instruction sessions. The upgrade includes the following items: 1) Self-enclosed, lockable, rolling cart 2) Laptop 3) Document projection unit (ELMO); this equipment allows the Librarian or Professor to project the pages of the book directly onto the screen without making a transparency and it can also be used for 3-D items .

Please note: Bibliographic Instruction sessions should be booked with a Librarian at least one-week in advance. If you prefer to conduct your own Bibliographic Instruction session, which the Library staff encourages, you should reserve the Reference Computers Commons as soon as possible in order to ensure availability.
