EKS Library Celebrates its Newest Graduate
The Ethel K. Smith Library staff is excited to highlight one of its very important student Assistants, Airen Little! Airen will be graduating from Wingate University this December in the area of Human Services and would like to establish a career in the education field.
Miss Little is from Monroe, North Carolina, and is a transfer student from South Piedmont Community College and Western Carolina University. She was enrolled in a Massage Therapy Program and decided that although it was a lot of fun she noted, “It was something I didn,t want to do for the rest of my life”
That is when she decided to attend Wingate University.
After Wingate she plans to attend graduate school. Airen said she is waiting to hear back from various schools, and then proceeded to say, “If that doesn,t work out, then I guess I’ll be looking for a job!”
When asked what she does in her spare time, she stated, “What spare time?” She said she loves to read when she gets a break from her studies, and travels to Charlotte to see her boyfriend. Being as busy as she is, she regularly reserves some time during Thursday evenings to watch her favorite TV shows, The Office and Grey’s Anatomy.
We wanted to know what was her favorite thing to do while working at the Ethel K, she stated, “Everything is fun at the EKS Library! If I had to pick something it would be looking for books in the main stacks— it,s like a treasure hunt.”
Airen also said, “I’ve loved being at Wingate. The campus is beautiful and the faculty and staff are great!”
