Student Assistant Spotlight

Nina Panachetti, Laura Smith and Carrie Butler are in our student assistant spotlight for the month of February.

Laura Smith is a senior and is majoring in Chemistry with a double minor in Biology and Math. She will be applying to Pharmacy school for the Fall of 2006. She is involved in Chemistry Club, Biology Club, Leadership Fellows and several other on-campus organizations. She is also a volunteer at Pet Smart and the Animal Shelter.

Laura Smith, Carrie Butler and Nina PanachettiLaura enjoys read-ing, movies, sports and caring for ani-mals. Laura has been an assistant at the library for her whole college career.

Carrie Butler is a junior English major in the Hon-ors program. She is Presi-dent of Sigma Tau Delta English Honors Society, a member of Leadership Fel-lows, FCA, CSU and the English club. Carrie is looking forward to spend-ing next fall in London with the Wingate in London program. She went to Hong Kong with W’international and says that it was “amazing.” This summer Carrie will be working with Dr. Fisher on a sumĀ¬mer research project and will be studying the shifts in the representation of evil in British Literature.

Carrie has worked in the Library for the past three years and works with Mrs. Sganga with the CMC materials.

Nina Panchetti is originally from Italy and grew up in Nigeria. She is a junior, majoring in Biology and when she graduates plans to attend school to be a Physician’s Assistant. Nina is a member of the International Club, Chemistry Club and Biology Club. She likes reading, listening to music and go-ing to the movies. She has been a library assistant for the past 3 years and says that she really enjoys her campus job, and all of the friends that she has made at Wingate University.
