FOL Author Luncheon with Jill McCorkle
This year’s annual Friends of the Library Author Luncheon guest was the wonderfully witty and entertaining Jill McCorkle. Faculty, Friends and Guests of the University were delighted to hear Ms. McCorkle’s blend of southern charm and wonderful story telling.
She not only read from one of her books of short stories, but also took questions from the
audience about her writing. It was especially entertaining to have her tell of her personal love of the art of story telling, which she regarded as uniquely a part of all groups of people that have been at one time or another in history, set apart from others.
Ms. McCorkle’s talk was followed by a book signing in the Gallery at the Batte Fine Arts Center.
