An Evening with Ron Rash

March 16th, 2012 by Christy Inge in Announcements, Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Ethel K. Smith Library invite you to participate in the 2nd Annual Fundraising event on March 30th at the Rolling Hills Country Club with Ron Rash, who brings to all his work a masterful command of language and a deep sense of the Appalachian South.  The evening will include an exclusive opportunity to purchase Mr. Rash’s latest book, The Cove.  The official release of the book is April 10th, so you have the opportunity to have your copy signed before anyone else in the country. Ecco states The Cove “captures the wondrous beauty of nature and love and the darkness of superstition and fear in this atmospheric and exquisitely rendered novel set in Appalachia during World War I.”

This special event start at 7:00 p.m. and features a buffet, cash bar, a presentation by Mr. Rash, a raffle and a book signing.  Tickets are $50.00 each.  For reservations and more information, please e-mail or call Christy Inge at 704.233.8091.
