ScienceDirect Upgrade

Elsevier has announced that the next release for ScienceDirect  is scheduled for Saturday, December 1^st  between 11:45 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., and will focus mainly on infrastructure improvements. Read the rest of this entry »

ScienceDirect Maintenace

Elsevier has announced that its ScienceDirect database will be offline for maintenance between 7:30 a.m., August 25^th and 2:30 a.m. Sunday, August 26^th. Read the rest of this entry »

ScienceDirect Maintenance

Elsevier announced that it will performing an upgrade operation on Saturday, March 17^th for ScienceDirect. The purpose of this upgrade is to increasing search speed and article rendering.  It should also resolve  a problem some users have seen with  PDF downloading and RSS feeds.  Expect ScienceDirect to be off-line between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. that day.

Science Direct Upgrade Maintenace

On Saturday September 10^th Elsevier will be releasing several new enhancements to ScienceDirect. To this end, Elsevier has scheduled an outage on September 10th which will place ScienceDirect offline for about eleven hours.

Down time  is expected to be as follows:

• Saturday: 7:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

 

Enhancements to ScienceDirect Planned

On May 7 Elsevier will be releasing several new enhancements to its SciVerse platform.  At the time of publication, Elsevier has not disclosed just what those enhancements are. While Elsevier expects this release to go smoothly, it is possible that we may experience temporary service disruptions to ScienceDirect.

We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause, given that this is occurring over Finals Week.  We also apologize for the short notice.  We can only say that we published this announcement as soon as we got it from Elsevier.
